On a recent fall afternoon, the weather kept many away, but was not an impediment to having fun.
Kendra and Matt Lisignoli are the owners and in charge of the Central Oregon Pumpkin Co.
“It takes lots of money and time to run this event” said Kendra Lisignoli, “but it is a family business. All of my kids have worked with us since they were little. We have been getting ready for this event since June.”
“The goal of this event is to bring the community together,” she said.
This year the theme for the maze was dedicated to the history of dinosaurs. “We are the ones who work on the design for the maze each year.” Also said Kendra Lisignoli.
Most of the activities at Central Oregon Pumpkin Co.’s fall event are dedicated to the kids.
At the event participants can learn about animals, enjoy the food, or just explore. The smell and the animals share a farming feeling with people and give many distractions like the zoo train or the pony rides, but the most popular for kids and adults is the pumpkin patch.
“My favorite part is the pumpkin patch,” said Cassie, who came with her two kids and husband. Some other guests enjoy feeding some of the animals while petting them.
The cost for this event is affordable for anyone and the enjoyable moments don’t have a price.
Lily, a little three- year -old, said that she enjoys picking up pumpkins next to her mom and her favorite part is to ride the ponies. This event has been taking place in Central Oregon sense 2001 and arrived from the city of Portland.
The Central Oregon Pumpkin CO. would take place again next year in Terrebonne with new activities and events like the Hunted Hay Ride and another corn maze. With no doubt the Central Oregon Pumpkin Co. Is one of the places to visit this fall.
